Responsibilities
- Managed a team of 9 to develop a 3D idle-racer & track building game in Unity on PC, Mac, and Android
- Facilitated communication with the team on task prioritization, resolving over ten identified roadblocks during production
- Conducted daily check-ins, sprint planning, retrospectives, and post-mortem sessions with the team to understand dependencies and plan contingencies to finish development in-scope using Agile Methodology and Scrum events
Challenges faced as the Producer
Working on this project, the main challenge I faced was working under a strict deadline and large scope to complete development within 12 weeks while applying agile principles to the team structure. While conducting team meetings on revisiting the goal of the project, I worked with the team to balance and rescope the game's content to achieve an Alpha build of our game we successfuly delivered to our client on time.
Another challenge that occured was a lack of communication among team members tasks. To overcome this obstacle, I met with the team to identifiy ways to improve the meeting structure during daily stand ups meeting. After coming to an agreement on a shortened meeting structure, prioritising individual check-ins and communicating daily task updates in the team's communication channels, efficiently increasing transparency, clarity, and cohesion within the team to meet our Milestones and deliverables for stakeholders.
